The newly formed Pollock Pines-Camino Fire Safe Council has applied for a $500 grant from the National Fire Protection Association. Sixty five grants will be awarded by NFPA for the National Wildfire Community Preparedness Day on May 2nd. This award money will be used for fire safe education and educational materials if PPCFSC is selected

Last Saturday, the Eldorado National Forest responded to 5 fires. Two of the fires were over 30 acres each. Last year, the ENF did not have any fires requiring a Type 3 IC until the King Fire. [read more]

The EDCFSC has resumed its chipping service and the link to the Request for Chipping application is now available. Our contractor has promised to provide resources needed to catch up with the backlogged requests. To all of you who have been waiting for your material to be chipped, we thank you for your patience.
The EDCFSC residential chipping program has been suspended until further notice. We regret that we will not be able to accept new requests for chipping until we are confident that we have an agreement with a contractor that can fulfill the requirements of the program in a timely manner. We are attempting to service those
We are currently experiencing delays in responding to requests for chipping. If you have submitted a request and have not yet been contacted we ask for your patience while we secure additional resources to reduce the backlog.
