- Briefing on the formation of the El Dorado County Resource Advisory Committee (RAC), Mike Applegarth, Senior
Administrative Analyst, El Dorado County Chief Administrative Office
- Presentation on the Sierra Nevada Adaptive Management Project (SNAMP), Kimberly Ingram. SNAMP is a joint
effort between local, state and federal government agencies and the University of California to develop best forest management
practices. UC researchers are studying the effects of thinning treatments conducted by the US Forest Service to reduce the risk of
catastrophic wildfire. Their study topics include forest health, water, wildlife and public participation.
