Gold Hill Live Fire Training Burn

CAMINO - The Amador-El Dorado Unit of CAL FIRE will be conducting a live fire training exercise at the Gold Hill Wakamatsu Ranch located on Cold Springs Road in the community of Gold Hill on Sunday October 30th from approximately 10 am to 4 pm. "This broadcast burn is part of a cooperative effort with the American River Conservancy to assist in the restoration of native grasslands using prescribed fire while simultaneously achieving firefighter training objectives" says Unit Chief Kelly Keenan.

The project area will have control lines in place and fire fighting equipment in strategic locations so that the fire is properly managed.
