Oak Hill Area FSC – Meetings

Five Community Meetings are scheduled for 2019.  All will be held at the Firefighters Memorial Hall, 3734 China Garden Rd, Diamond Springs.  Everyone is Welcome!  Additional topics will be organized for 2020 meetings.  We welcome your suggestions!

April 9, 2019 5:30 PM  ELDO County Fire Protection District Chief Lloyd Ogan will speak on the fire risks facing our community.  Mark and Robin Stanley will speak on ways to landscape in order to improve fire resistance.

May 14, 2019 5:30 PM  University of California Extension Advisor Susie Kocher will speak on increasing your home’s fire resistance.

June 11, 2019 5:30 PM  El Dorado County Supervisor Brian Veerkamp will speak on State and local vegetation management requirements for fire safety.

July 9, 2019  5:30 PM  Deputy Sheriff Todd Crawford from the Office of Emergency Services will give critical information in the event of a fire emergency: Alert Systems, Evacuation Preparedness, Alternative Routes, Temporary Refuge.  There will be opportunity for questions.  Please join us!

September 10, 2019 5:30 PM Panel Discussion with two area insurance brokers who will answer questions about obtaining fire insurance now and about the future of insurance.

October 8, 2019 5:30 PM Neighborhood Meet and Greet Go Bag samples, fire related videos, neighbors solving problems together. Let’s talk!
