The residents of the greater Placerville area are invited to attend a presentation and panel discussion on emergency communications during the event of a wildfire in our community.

The program will begin with a presentation by satellite communications consultant/technician Alan Thompson, entitled “The Camp Fire – Phones, Fires and Failures” and conclude with a Q&A panel discussion focused on questions regarding evacuation planning, early warning systems and other forms of communication in the event of a wildfire in the Placerville area.

This event is hosted by the Placerville Fire Safe Council (PFSC). Please note that the PFSC will not convene its usual business during this event. Future meetings and events will address fire prevention planning, vegetation management and other topics concerning wildfire preparedness.
