THE EL DORADO COUNTY FIRE SAFE COUNCIL AND THE COLOMA LOTUS FIRE SAFE COUNCIL ARE SEEKING PROPOSALS FROM QUALIFIED CONTRACTORS TO PROVIDE ROADSIDE FUEL REDUCTION IN THE COLOMA LOTUS COMMUNITY IN EL DORADO COUNTY.

Mandatory Bidders meeting and site visit: 9:15am, Tuesday, July 31, 2018. The meeting will begin at the Gold Trail Grange parking lot, 319 Highway 49, Coloma CA, 95613. There is no requirement to telephone or email ahead, however bids will not be accepted from organizations that are not present at the site visit.
Closing Date: August 7, 2018
Grant funding has been obtained from PG&E. Approximately $75,000 is available for this contract. The purpose of the grant is to provide roadside fuel reduction in the community of Coloma Lotus. The objective of the treatment is to reduce surface and ladder fuels, to achieve canopy spacing to mitigate the threat of wildfire to private property, and to provide safe ingress of fire equipment and egress of evacuees. All work must be completed by October 31, 2018.
