EL DORADO COUNTY FIRE SAFE COUNCIL
RESOLUTION TO REQUIRE APPROVAL OF PRESENTATIONS
EDCFSC RESOLUTION 2011-05-1
WHEREAS, The mission of the El Dorado County Fire Safe Council (EDCFSC) is "to protect
the people of El Dorado County and their property from the effects of catastrophic wildfire
through education, cooperation, innovation, and action"; and
WHEREAS, The Board of Directors of the El Dorado County Fire Safe Council seeks to
promote the formation of Satellite Fire Safe Councils and Firewise Communities on the west
slope of El Dorado County; and
WHEREAS, The Board of Directors of the El Dorado County Fire Safe Council believes that its
goals can best be achieved by, from time to time, making presentations to community groups on
subjects relating to wildfire prevention, preparedness, defensible space and organization of these
community groups as Satellite Fire Safe Councils; and
WHEREAS, The Board of Directors believes that it has a responsibility to insure that the El
Dorado County Fire Safe Council is properly represented in such presentations; and
WHEREAS, The Board of Directors recognizes the value of its intellectual property;
NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved by the EDCFSC Board of Directors that prior approval by
the Board of Directors or its designated official of any presentation and its content is required
before said presentation can be made on behalf of the El Dorado County Fire Safe Council.
