Congratulations Pollock Pines-Camino FSC !

The Pollock Pines-Camino Fire Safe Council came in fifth out of 338 nationwide entrys  and was awarded  a $500 grant from the National Fire Protection Association for the National Wildfire Community Preparedness Day on May 2nd.  This award money will be used for fire safe education and educational materials.

Pollock Pines-Camino FSC Needs Your Vote

The newly formed Pollock Pines-Camino Fire Safe Council has applied for a $500 grant from the National Fire Protection Association.  Sixty five grants will be awarded by NFPA for the National Wildfire Community Preparedness Day on May 2nd.  This award money will be used for fire safe education and educational materials if PPCFSC is selected

Prepare For an Early Fire Season

Last Saturday, the Eldorado National Forest responded to  5 fires.  Two of the fires were over 30 acres each.  Last year, the ENF did not have any fires requiring a Type 3 IC until the King Fire. [read more]

Board of Directors Meeting

The El Dorado County Fire Safe Council Board of Directors meets at 9:30 am on Tuesday, October 28th 2014 at USFS Headquarters, 100 Forni Road, Placerville.  The quarterly General Meeting will follow at 11:00 am.

King Fire Recovery Workshop

The University of California Cooperative Extension Central Sierra will hold a workshop for forest and woodland landowners affected by the Sand and King fires on October 24 from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm.  The workshop will be held at the Pleasant Valley Grange, 4765 Pleasant Valley Road.  Workshop details and registration are available at http://ucanr.edu/postfireworkshop.
