CAL FIRE Suspends Burn Permits

All burning is prohibited in El Dorado County until further notice. Please see the CAL FIRE web site for more details.

PG&E Grant To Help Fund Chipping Program

Pacific Gas & Electric Company has agreed to provide funds to restart the El Dorado County Fire Safe Council’s Chipping Program. The program will be restarted immediately.

Draft Community Wildfire Protection Plan Now Available

The draft Community Wildfire Protection Plan for the Western Slope of El Dorado County is now available for public comment.  The complete file is large (over 93 megabytes) and  contains numerous maps.  It will take some time to download and may effect your data usage.  Please provide feedback by responding to the Board using the

Look under the “Action” tab for information that may help you find the owner of a vacant parcel in need of weed or brush abatement.

Chipping and Green Waste Programs Now Open for Applications

The Chipping and Community Green Waste Dumpster programs are now accepting new applications.  Look under the “Action” tab for the links to the application forms.  Please be aware that because of a significant backlog the wait for service may be longer than usual.
