Placerville Fire Safe Council - Who Are We

Placerville Fire Safe Council is an associate council of the El Dorado Fire Safe Council. Its mission is to protect the Placerville area from wildfire through education and community projects. The organization works to mitigate losses of life and property and helps residents prepare for fire risks in the area, which is at high risk for wildfires.

Meetings

The regular meeting of the Placerville Fire Safe Council occurs every first Thursday of the month at 6:00 pm. Contact David Zelinsky at (530) 417- 6116 for location or remote meeting information.

Placerville Fire Safe Council Goals

  1. To develop and implement a Community Wildfire Protection Plan based on a Community Risk Assessment and in coordination with residents, businesses, organizations, associations, and local, state, and federal agencies.
  2. To inform and educate residents of the Placerville area about the threat of fire and about the methods and resources available to mitigate fire danger to their property and community.
  3. To promote, fund, and implement fire safety programs and projects for the Placerville area.
  4. To participate in the development and implementation of preparedness and evacuation plans for the Placerville area.
